Do you want to be a model, but you feel you're not skinny enough? Please worry yourself no more, cause you can still be a model. Designers are starting to do much plus runway shows because the demands for these plus sizes are in high demand and it appeal to a large population of people out there. Stores with plus size divisions hires this type of models to work for them. Most people are size 12 and above, and it's wonderful that designers are making designers clothes for these people.

Dress Size: 12-14
These requirements varies depending on what the client wants and also the proportions of the model.

If you are interested in this kind of modelling have no fear, but you need to have a sexy face. These form of modelling is the type meant for people with oval faces. They are the 'glamorous models' because they don't really have any requirements and they also appear a lot in magazines. Photographers work with them a lot, cause their oval faces makes them appear more sexier and most of them looks pretty fit. Glamour models also show parts of their bodies a lot while posing for magazines. They do a lot of implied shots and lingerie shots as well.
You can make it big time in this industry if you have an oval face and as a model always remember one thing, the sky is so big it can contain all the birds. The modelling industry is so big it has room for YOU!

YOU'RE A MODEL (A)



You see their faces on Magazines, on TV and you hear about them on radio, from people who feels the same way you do and you like the sound of it! 'MODEL' it sounds good, isn't it?
You wish you can be called one. Not just called, but be one. "Am a model." You probably wonder how that would sound in your mouth. Don't worry it will sound good. You're a model, you just don't know it yet. There are different kinds of modelling, you just need to know which one you're interested in and the criteria for it. YOU'RE A MODEL (A) will tell you about Runway/High Fashion Models.

RUNWAY/HIGH FASHION MODELS

These are models who are hired by designers to wear their clothes down the runway to present them to the public for the first time. Often times these models wear this couture and pose for snapshots and these photos are used for advertisement on fashion magazines. This type of modelling is the most competitive, because it's the highest paid and it gives models fame and lots of jobs. Most agencies or magazine want certain looks for models and this differs in each season, because it depends on the FACE that is selling. The required look for runway models is usually a model with the high cheekbones, long necks and square jaws. Females usually gets jobs a lot, but for male models the industry is very difficult and competitive, especially in this part of the world. Male models have to be perfectly fit with a million dollar body to get hired on most jobs and because there are so many guys out there competing for the same roles, standing out in looks, shape and style will get you the jobs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MALE MODEL:
Height: 5.11"-6.2 (3)"
Age: Late teens into late twenties.
Suit Size: 40 (This is standard size for male models, this size may vary depending on client)

REQUIREMENTS FOR FEMALE MODELS:
A female model should be 14-19 years old
Mainstream range 5'9"-5'11"
Exceptions being between 5.8"-6.0"
Weight needs to be between 108-130lbs, in proportion to height
Dress sizes 6-8

EXERCISES FOR MODELS

Your body is calling for perfection!
It seeks attention and wants to look good for the whole world to WOW at it!
What are the exercises you plan on doing today? I'll suggest you try to find out names of different types of programs for exercises so you can understand what is been talked about when names are used in reference to this programs. But for now GoldTouch will try to explain in layman terms as simple as possible. Here are some simple suggestions of exercises for your day:

1: Running/jogging: You don't necessary need to run down a thousand mile. You can run/jog from one end of your street to the other back and fort, depending on how many laps you want to go or how many minutes you set on your timer for yourself. You can stand in a particular position and jog (ankles hitting your butt, kneels high jogging, hold both ends separately in front of you like you're guiding from a blow and kick your legs high and straight etc) SET TIMER
Sometimes all you need to do is dive into that pool and have fun. Swim and enjoy it! Swim for about 30minutes each day for 3days a week. Walking also is a very effective way of exercising. Most people don't know this that's why they underestimate it a lot. Walk up and down a hill, walk far distance and to places you will like to go by car, it walks more than you can imagine.
2: Dancing: Dancing is another great way to lose fat and have a great body shape. Move your legs, hands, head, waist, kneels, ankle, your entire body, dance dance dance.
3: Sqauting: Do different types of squatting. i: Go low, almost to a sitting position then rise as straight as possible immediately and jam your hands above your head, go again again, as fast as you can. ii: Do exactly what you did in (i) but this time while rising to jam your palms up also jam your feets together. SET TIMER at least 1minute.
4: Jumping: SET TIMER Jump up and down, hop on your feet, skip rope, frog jump, picking stones etc
5: Low Plank Oblique: Rest with your elbows on the floor and keep your body leveled and low (your stomach should almost be touching the ground) then raise one kneel to meet the elbow and the other after dropping the first. Do this as fast as possible within 1minute.
6: Biking: Riding of bicycle is also an effective means to having a great shape.
7: Push-ups: Do some push ups and make sure you're targeting core areas while doing it.
Each morning when you wake up you should have a plan on how you want your trainings to go for that day. Set a time frame and make sure you set a timer for each programs you do (at least 3oseconds) and make sure you're catching fun doing it, don't have to over exert yourself. Remember these are just simple exercises to warm you up and prepare your body for what is to come. You will get to learn about serious exercises  to do. 
For Men:
*How to have great abs, build biceps and triceps, broaden chest and looking completely fit.
For Women:
*How to have flat stomach, a body fit for the beach and look perfect for your hubby.

THINGS TO EAT AS A MODEL

Mind what you eat please. This cannot be over emphasised because it's very important to have a balance diet in order to have a perfect body. Please take your eyes of that food now! Just kidding, but seriously mind what you eat. As a model or one who wants to have a good body shape, you have to know there is a big difference between hunger and craving. Most times you crave after a food without really being hungry. So please understand this.
1: Drink water a lot! Water is very helpful to the body, because its keep your skin clean, gives you more energy and keeps you hydrated. People sometimes mistake thirst for hunger. Anytime you feel like you are hungry, drink a full glass of water and wait for 10minutes before eating.
2: Food Diary: Keep a food diary. You might not like the sound of it, but it helps a lot.
2: Eat food rich in protein: Foods like turkey & chicken (breast, legs, etc) fish (tuna, tilapia, salmon) tofu, yogurt (no sugar), eggs (especially the white part of it), milk, cow milk, soy milk, goat milk, meat (beaf, steak) beans are all foods rich in protein.
4: Fruits & Vegetables: Eat fruits and vegetables a lot. These foods have rich essential vitamins and it helps to give the skin an healthy sparkle.
5: Smoking and Drinking: Many believes smoking helps to get slimmer, yes to an extent but the purpose of all the effort is to have a healthy lifestyle. Smoking destroys your metabolism, your breath, happiness, your nails, skin, hair, and most importantly your motivation and discipline. Alcohol has loads of calories than you can ever imagined. Drink water, soda water (not tonic water), drink red wine instead of alcohol.
6: Small: Take just little of empty carb foods like rice, bread, pasta and avoid giving in to your cravings. Instead curb your cravings with fruit, peanut butter and honey.
7: Always eat breakfast because it will give you the energy you need to face the day and do not eat right before you go to bed, because your metabolism won't function properly.

YOU DESERVE TO BE BEAUTIFUL

YOU! Yes You! 
You deserve to be beautiful!!! Deep down you know you are beautiful, but sometimes it seems you are not. Especially, when you think and feel you do not have a good body shape. Are you one of those that feel GOD was partial while dishing out bodies during creation, else He wouldn't have given you this body? Probably if there is a market where people can shop for perfect, sexy, hot, charming bodies and make it their own you will be glad to shop your dream body.
Dream no more!
You can have that dream body you desire! Those bodies you spend time starring at on TV shows, magazines and soaps, you can have such a body it all depends on you. You don't need to starve or torture yourself, you just need to work hard and be dedicated.
THINGS TO DO
1. Determination: This is the first key to having your dream body. Be determined even when people laugh at you, including your family. You alone know what you really want.
They can laugh all they want, don't listen to them. Often times lazy people laughed at people they see doing things they themselves cannot do.
2: Knowing what you want: Measure yourself before starting and before you eat anything, so you can know where you are and what you want to achieve by the end of the day. You shouldn't do this everyday ok, just sometimes. You can do this with a tape measurement or a digital scale. You need to know if you want to lose weight, stay fit or look like a bouncer. Knowing this will help you know what kind of exercise to do in order to boost metabolism and foods to eat and not eat.
3: Exercise: Cardio exercises helps to burn calories, boost your metabolism and improve your cardiovascular health. Running, jogging, walking up and down a hill, swimming and biking regularly at least 40minutes each day and at least 3 days a week . Hit the gym! Workout in the gym. Try out different programs and find out the ones that suits you. It doesn't mean you should be lazy, but do exercises that you enjoy doing, that way you can have fun and stick to it. Do not over-exert yourself. Do not always work out alone, it will get boring and you will get tired easily. When you exercise in company of friends or people the tendency is high that you will achieve a better result. Dancing is also exercising! Sometimes you might not feel like working out, put on a music you love and dance like its your last dance and no-one is watching. You can also walk instead of driving to that place that is not so far. If your office, school or church is like a 20 minutes walk and is something that if you do you won't be late, do it! And finally, if you can afford a trainer, please get one.
4: EATING: Some people starved themselves because they think it will help them have a perfect body. But the truth is, it won't do much. All you need to do is reduce your intake of calories everyday. Never you skip breakfast! Eat early and avoid eating late at night. Stop eating junk foods like the type you eat in eateries. Cut down the amount of rice, bread and other empty carbs you take. Eat food that contains protein a lot. Foods like beans, fish, egg, chicken, turkey are rich in protein. Eat fruits and vegetables, they contain rich vitamins and drink lots of water but avoid alcohol. You learn more on THINGS TO EAT.
5: BREAK: Take a break from time to time and just relax and enjoy yourself away from your routine. Ask your friends you know will be honest and frank with you to give you their opinion about your improvement. You can also take before and after pictures to help check progress. And also try those clothes you might have outgrown after some weeks and see how it fits.
6: Motivation: Look for whatever motivates you and draw motivation from it. Pictures of models, fashion icons and body trainers can be helpful. For ladies, bikinis can also be a good source of motivation. Hang it in your room where you can see it everyday. Most importantly have someone like a partner or partners depending on you to do this together. Surely, you will have that perfect body of your dream.
